Butterfly Valve Type 567-568 |
Data Sheet
User's Manual
GF Piping Systems presents the 567/568 type series of butterfly valves with a comprehensive range of products for wafer and lug style applications.
Our systems modular design principle allows you to exchange individual system components – fast, easily and at very little expense.
Fields of Application:
- water treatment
- power plants
- shipbuilding
- electroplating
- chemical process industry
- automotive industry
- cooling equipment
- aquariums
- swimming pool construction
Advantages:
- 50% lower actuation torque compared to a centric butterfly due to the double eccentric operating principle
- abrasion can be reduced noticeably
- integrated electric position indicator in the mounting flange
- optimized gaskets
- all components which are in contact with the media made of piping materials, consequently the permeation can be minimized
- functional hand lever made of glass-fiber-reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF 30) with 5° ratchet setting, locable

Butterfly Valve Type 037/038
|
The metal butterfly valves type 037/038 can be used as open/close or control valve. The easy installation of the valve between pipe flanges warrants reliable operation and sealing.
The lightweight aluminium valve body has special advantages in transport and installation. The Rilsan-coating of the valve body and the ductile iron disc provide a high resistance against corrosion. The butterfly valves are also available in a standard version with stainless steel disc.
Fields of Application:
- water treatment
- swimming pools
- aquariums
- ship building
Advantages:
- low weight
- good flow characteristic
- Rilsan®-coating: High chemical resistance
- NSF 50 approval for potable water
- easy installation

Butterfly Valve Type 367 |
The dimensions DN250 and DN300 provide all the advantages, that GF Piping Systems butterfly valves have to offer.
Due to the patented flexible hollow gasket the required operation torque is on a low level that allows a manual operation with a low expenditure of energy. Retrofitting for automatic actuation is possible at any time.
Also the solid design (two valve bodies) and the high reliability help to make the plant operation safer and reduce the need for maintanace.
Fields of application:
- Water treatment
- Cooling systems
- Chemical Process Industry
- Ship Building
Advantages:
- low torque
- good flow characteristic
- no direct contact between media and metal parts
- retrofitting for automatic actuation is possible at any time
- low weight

Electrically Actuated Butterfly Valve Type 140 |
The Type 140 electrically actuated butterfly valve from GF Piping Systems is adaptable to a variety of conditions and applications. It is available in PVC-U, PVC-C, Polypropylene, and PVDF materials. With the optional positioner, it goes from being a simple on/off valve to a precise flow control device integrated into systems controlled by PLCs and other computerized instrumentation.
Advantages:
- Size range 2” to 12” wafer style
- 110-230VAC auto-detecting or 24V AD/DC
- Manual override on actuator
- Available in PVC-U, PVC-C, polypropylene, and PVDF
- Rated for 150 PSI (bidirectional)
- EPDM or FPM seals
- UL certified
- Double eccentric, off-center shaft for reduced wear and lower torque requirements
- Special Q-ring design eliminates the need for flange gaskets

Pneumatically Actuated Butterfly Valve Type 240
|
The Type 240 series pneumatically actuated wafer style butterfly valve from Georg Fischer is the ultimate choice for the high demands of the industrial world. The unique double eccentric design means the disc is not in contact with the seal in the open position. The result is less wear and operating torques that are half that of our previous model. Better chemical compatibility is achieved because the inner body is the same material as the pipe. The unique Q ring design insures a superior seal with virtually any type of flange without the need for additional gaskets. Additionally, the electro-pneumatic positioner, stroke limiter, and feed back switches give flexibility for integration into a wide variety of applications.
Advantages:
- Size range 2” to 12” wafer style
- Available in PVC-U, PVC-C, polypropylene, and PVDF
- Rated for 150 PSI (bidirectional)
- EPDM or FPM seals
- Double eccentric, off-center shaft for reduced wear and lower torque requirements
- Special Q-ring design eliminates the need for flange gaskets
